After celebrating our last days at work, Sam and I are fully focused on preparing our RV for an exciting adventure. We’re gearing up for our upcoming journey and will soon share a video on how we’re getting our rig ready for launch.
We’re eager to dive into diverse landscapes and explore some of the nation’s most iconic treasures. While we still have plenty of research ahead of us, one thing is clear: with the boom in RV travel and the increasing popularity of our national and state parks, You should plan ahead as much as possible! As much as I love the idea of being spontaneous, I’ve already run into the reality that most popular spots are fully booked—there’s just no availability. So, if you’re planning a similar trip, take it from me: securing your reservations early is essential!
That said, we’re embracing the freedom of the open road and will remain flexible. Our current plan is to explore 30 States and 2 Canada Provinces, visit 24 National Parks, and enjoy the beauty of 20 State Parks and public lands!
Our journey begins in the scenic state of Vermont, our home base. Our first major destination is the charming coastal city of Savannah, GA. Neither Sam nor I have visited yet, so if you know of any must-see spots or great places to eat, drop a comment! Stay tuned for updates as we continue to hit the road and share our journey.
Our route was planned around these 3 big rocks;

- Visiting family and friends along the way
- Exploring as many National Parks as possible
- Discovering the lesser known destinations
This trip was created using RV Trip Wizard software. RV Trip Wizard helps you to create an RV “safe” road trip. I track our reservation information all in the software and can export it to excel to add more detail if I want. You are also able to share it with your family so they can keep track as well. I love it and recommend it even if you are not a “planner” like myself.
