Zion in Bloom: Spring Adventures by E-Bike

We visited Zion National Park in early May, and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. The canyon was bursting with spring flowers, painting the trails with vibrant color and adding a magical touch to every view. Instead of relying on the shuttle system, we brought our electric bikes, which turned out to be the best decision of the trip. Gliding through the canyon roads at our own pace, with towering red cliffs on either side, was unforgettable.

Hiking in Zion

While we skipped the iconic Narrows and Angels Landing hikes this time, we filled our days with equally scenic trails — Emerald Pools was a favorite, offering waterfalls, shaded paths, and stunning views with fewer crowds.  Sam actually climbed beyond the turn for Angels Landing one day while I worked 🙂

We camped for four nights at Watchman Campground, which sits right inside the park. We had a tremendous spot with the Watchman hovering over us. Also having a site in the park meant we could beat the crowds each morning and enjoy the peace and quiet of Zion after sunset.

Tip: If you can score a reservation, stay inside the park — it makes a huge difference in your experience. And if you have electric bikes, bring them! You’ll enjoy the freedom to explore without waiting in shuttle lines.

Zion in spring is something special — peaceful, in bloom, and perfect for two-wheeled adventures.

🌸 Zion in Spring = Magic 🌸
Visited Zion National Park in early May and were blown away by the wildflowers and perfect weather.

🚲 Skipped the shuttle and explored the canyon with our electric bikes — 10/10 recommend!
⛺️ Stayed 4 nights at Watchman Campground (inside the park!) and hiked trails like the Emerald Pools and Watchman Trail — peaceful, scenic, and not too crowded.
🥾 Sam even hiked up Walter’s Wiggles and past the turnoff to Angels Landing for some epic views!

Travel Tips:
• Bring e-bikes if you have them — so much better than the shuttle!
• Stay inside the park if you can get a reservation — it’s 100% worth it.

Zion in bloom is a vibe we won’t forget. 🌼🏞️
