By now, you’ve probably guessed who our special guests were this week! We were thrilled to have Liz, our daughter, and Olivia, our granddaughter, join us for a magical few days at Disney.
While we wouldn’t call ourselves die-hard Disney fans, we knew it would be the perfect place for a family reunion—especially with our adorable granddaughter in tow!
Fort Wilderness Campground completely blew us away. We were beyond impressed with the property, which had so much to offer. The campsites were spacious and impeccably clean, and it was incredible to see how quickly the staff would tidy up a site as soon as someone checked out. There were pools, endless kid-friendly activities, a massive dog park, and convenient transportation all around the property. Our only regret? Not renting a golf cart! Many visitors bring their own, but Disney has them available to rent, and let me tell you, you feel a little left out without one. If you’re planning to stay here, make sure to book EARLY! I reserved our site a full year in advance, and it was packed the entire time we were there.
We also had an unforgettable day at Animal Kingdom, where we were lucky enough to meet Bakso, the adorable 5-month-old baby tiger (whose name means “meatball” in Indonesian!). One of the perks of staying at a Disney resort is the early entry—30 minutes before everyone else—which made a huge difference in avoiding the long lines!
A visit to Disney Springs is always a blast, and Olivia had the chance to get creative and make some cool art. The highlight of the day, though, was our amazing experience at Cirque du Soleil. Olivia was chosen to participate in the pre-show, which was such a special moment for her!
It was a busy, joy-filled week with our girls, and we were sad to see them go. But don’t worry, our next adventure promises to be a much more laid-back affair. Stay tuned for next week to find out where we’re headed next!
